What I did and cooked on a rainy Monday.

Because it was a heavy rain and wind day yesterday, I stayed home all day. I did a little bit of laundry but mostly I just snuggled and read all day. Apparently there was a lot of tornado warnings around the state but nothing near my house. Even my husband had to sit in the hallway at his work when I didn’t have to do anything. It’s so strange how that works out.

There’s a lot of crazy weather out there recently across the U.S. Some might say it’s the sign of the apocalypse but I don’t buy that stuff. If you believe in God then the Bible clearly states no one will know when it’ll come and anyone who predicts it is a false prophet. I just think it’s a sign of global warming and we’re messing up the one home that we can inhabit.

Anyway, I’m not going to get into that as it causes arguments and headaches all around. I want to talk about what I had for supper last night: fettuccine Alfredo and salad:

We got the fettuccine and Alfredo sauce from Whole Foods. I brought 5 quarts of water to boil, put the fettuccine in and cooked for around 8 or 9 minutes. I drained the water afterwards, then mixed the sauce in with the pasta.

After adding a serving of fettuccine, I added a serving of salad with Caesar dressing (also from Whole Foods) and a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese on top. The fettuccine tasted creamy and smooth and the salad dressing was nice and thick. I’ll have to go back to Whole Foods sometime and get some more. Thankfully there’s plenty of leftovers for several days.
