Missing Alaska

I follow the Alaska tag here on WordPress. I don’t always click on the tags I follow to see what’s being published very often, but this morning I was thinking about and missing Alaska, so I clicked on the tag and browsed through some blog posts.

I miss Alaska. I miss seeing the ruggedness, the little towns and villages that look like they’ve been around for centuries, and the people. They are the nicest people you’ll ever meet, warm and welcoming. They are genuinely happy that you came to visit them. Some of them have a sense of ruggedness to them, like you just know they’d push you out the way if a bear came to hunt you down or shout at you for doing something stupid, but they all do it in the name of safety.
